Mohave National Preserve

During my April 2022 Driving Trip to the Grand Canyon I first drove through Mohave National Preserve … both to see the Mohave and to find the Kelso, California train depot. Here are a few photos from that visit.

Entering the Preserve east from Baker, California
A long straight quiet road … a peaceful and relaxing drive
Beauty in the desert
Various shades of colour
Joshua tree … in danger from climate change
Joshua tree in black & white … still beautiful
1923 Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad Depot, Kelso, California
Unfortunately the depot was closed due to air conditioning repairs and covid restrictions … wish I could have sat at this counter

Due to my schedule I didn’t have much time in the Preserve this trip but would like to return in the future to see more of the area.
