Wupatki National Monument


When I left the Grand Canyon my next night was at Williams, Arizona … only a very short drive … so I decided to instead drive east and visit Wupatki National Monument.

Established in 1924 to protect Wupatki and Citadel pueblos, the National Monument has expanded since to include other pueblos and architectural resources.

Unfortunately some areas were still closed either due to covid or for resource protection but I was able to tour Wupatki pueblo which is located at the Visiter Centre.
