The St Charles Avenue streetcar line is the oldest continuously operating streetcar line in the world … the line commenced operations in 1835.
The 900 Series of cars were constructed by the Perley A. Thomas Car Works in 1923 and 1924 … they began operation in 1923 … 35 of the original cars, including Car 904, are still in operation.
