
Milwaukee Road Substation #2, Loweth, Montana … one of 22 substations which the railroad built to power their electrified line through Montana, Idaho and Washington … last I read 7 substations still exist. This building is on private property and is slowly deteriorating. The electrified service finally ended in June 1974 after almost 60 years of service.
